Solo full-stack developer · product, code and operations

Personal finance app, in beta with 10 users: wallets, budgets, credit-card statements, installments and loans, with an AI assistant that turns a sentence or a screenshot into a transaction.

  • 3months from empty repository to production
  • 31releases in the first three weeks
  • ~3,300automated tests, unit and end-to-end
  • Took the product from an empty repository to production in about three months, then shipped 31 releases in its first three weeks, working from a written roadmap of small end-to-end slices.
  • Designed it around one rule: anything that changes money goes through the service layer. The web app, the AI assistant and scheduled jobs are all just callers, so none of them can skip a business rule or reach another user's data.
  • Made the AI assistant safe to trust with money: it can only call the app's own services, never chooses whose account it acts on, runs each action once even when retried, and models are compared on a 76-case test set rather than by feel.

Four years of shipping frontends built for the people who maintain them.

I spent four years at Gradion (formerly NFQ Asia) building SaaS and multi-tenant platforms for European clients. My focus is frontend architecture, testing and security: the parts that decide whether a product is still pleasant to change in year three.

Over the last year the work has become full-stack: a Next.js backend-for-frontend and a Nitro and Prisma platform for clients at Gradion, and Express, Prisma and PostgreSQL on the products I design, build and run solo.

  • OwnershipGrew from one of five developers on a client console to the one trusted to run the live product alone.
  • QualityAudited a client app's create, edit and delete flows, found three critical bugs and wrote the team's standard; set up a lint and format toolchain still in use three years on.
  • ProductMoved a real food shop off spreadsheets in six weeks, and run a finance app whose AI assistant uses a model I host myself.
